9-00am Harvest Thanksgiving at St Mary the Virgin, Layer Breton.

10-30am All-Age Service for Harvest at St John the Baptist, Layer de la Haye
when we will be joined by Sarah Clay who will update us on her work with Latin Link in Huarez, Peru.
 • Gifts of non-perishable goods will be collected during the service for the Colchester Food Bank.
 • The service will be followed by Harvest Lunch in the south aisle.

12-00 Noon Men's Pub Lunch
at the Fox, Layer de la Haye.

We meet on the first Wednesday of each month and welcome newcomers. We're a friendly bunch of men from Layer de la Haye and nearby villages. Over an hour or so we'll enjoy a pub lunch, a drink and each other’s company. It's simple, totally informal, no strings and we each pay for our own order. Please e-mail Jon Smith or 'phone him on 07814-116590 by Sunday 1st October if you're coming (so he can sort pre-orders if need be).

7-30pm Layer de la Haye Annual Parish and Annual Parochial Church Meetings
at St John the Baptist, Layer de la Haye.

At the Annual Parish Meeting, which is open to all parishioners, there will be the election of churchwardens and deputy wardens for the forthcoming year. This is followed by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting at which elections are held to fill vacancies on the Parochial Church Council (PCC); those on the church's electoral roll are entitled to vote.
